  • Getting Started

    Creating Your First Piece Tap the + button on the Home screen to add a new piece. Enter a title, select the piece type, choose your clay body, and set the current status. You can add photos, dimensions, and notes as your piece progresses.

    Adding to Your Library Build your library by adding glazes, clay bodies, and recipes. Go to the Library tab and tap + to add new items. These will be available to assign to your pieces.

    Tracking Progress Update your piece's status as it moves through the process: Drying → Greenware → Bisque Fired → Glazed → Glaze Fired → Complete. Each status change is timestamped automatically.

  • Common Questions

    How do I add photos to a piece? Open the piece and tap "Add Photos" or the camera icon. You can take a new photo or choose from your library. Photos sync across all your devices.

    Can I share my glazes with friends? Yes! Add friends by their email in the Friends tab. Once connected, you can message them and share glazes, recipes, and clay bodies directly. They can import shared items to their own library.

    How do I track multiple similar pieces? When creating a piece, set the Quantity to create a batch. Each piece in the set can be tracked individually while maintaining the group connection.

    Is my data backed up? All your data syncs to the cloud automatically. Sign in with the same account on any device to access your pottery records.

    Can I use abClay offline? Basic viewing works offline. Changes sync automatically when you reconnect to the internet.

  • Troubleshooting

    Photos not uploading? Check your internet connection and ensure abClay has permission to access your photos in Settings > Privacy > Photos.

    Can't find a piece? Use the search bar or filters on the Pieces screen. Check if you've accidentally changed the status filter.

    App running slowly? Try closing and reopening the app. If issues persist, check for app updates in the App Store.
